The PLE project is sustained and supported by CETIS. The sustainability plan includes participation in and promotion of dissemination events, academic research and new software development initiatives. In this work, the principal concepts and architecture of the Reference Model will be sustained through an engagement with other areas of the e-learning discourse. The software development initiative of the PLE project (PLEX) will be sustained as an important reference-point through further development of services and tools: this will act as a focus for discussion and further developments within the domain at large.
